878 AD is an immersive experience that takes visitors back to a pivotal point, not only in the history of the city, but in the history of England as an emerging, unified nation: the defeat of the Vikings by Alfred the Great at the Battle of Edington in May 878. The Schools Programme provides a unique experience through hands on activities that enable learners to understand Anglo-Saxon life by taking part in curriculum linked quests. With learning outcomes for History, Maths and English, the visit can also be booked with a supporting trip to Winchester City Museum to further enhance understanding of the topic. See website for details. 878 AD is brought to life through the world of the video game franchise Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and combines cinematic audio-visual projection and live interactive performance for a learning opportunity like no other!
