Army Flying Museum

Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, SO20 8FB. England

The Army Flying Museum tells the story of British Army Flying from the early days of military ballooning to the modern Army Air Corps.

The museum was transformed and reopened in 2019 to include not only a fantastic collection of aircraft but also brand-new interactives and displays.

Their school sessions make the most of these unique resources, exploring on tours and trails and benefiting from unique interactive workshops in the hangars and Learning Centre.

Workshops

The Army Flying Museum offers workshops for a range of ages and topics at just £6 per pupil.

KS1 – Flight Fun – Learn about different aircraft, make some to take home in a craft session, and sit in some helicopters
KS1 and 2 – First World War – Discover what it was like to be a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps with interactive activities
KS2 – Pilot in Peril – How did the Auster pilot survive the jungle? Find out in this STEM-packed adventure
KS2 – Second World War – Explore a fantastic collection of wartime gliders, walk through a 1940s house, and handle real and replica items.
