Beaumanor Activities is an Outdoor Education Centre like no other. Operating from a majestic Victorian Manor House in the Leicestershire countryside. We offer activities for everyone. They work with schools both locally, around Leicestershire, and nationally, offering both day visits and residential stays. Programmes have been created to link in with many stages of the National Curriculum from EYFS to Key stage 3 and beyond regularly working with Universities and trainee teacher programmes and youth groups. They have residential accommodation for up to 120 guest in buildings and an additional 60-80 in a tented village during the summer.
They have two sides to their centre. There is the side of ‘Traditional’ Outdoor Adventurous Activities that many may be familiar with and then they have the side we term Explorations. In the explorations side they look into the history of the buildings at the site and the stories of the local area. They have themed activity days for many topics in the national curriculum. They pride themselves on delivering high quality hands-on education out of the classroom. As a visitor you are transported through time and our instructing team working with will you lead you through the day as an interesting character from your chosen programme.
As part of the GBST, they offer free places for visiting staff on Day Visits and free staff places on activities during residential stays. Quote ‘Great British School Trip’ when booking to claim this offer.
