Explore the mining heritage of Cornwall, see the size and scale of our industrial past. Discover why this is part of a World Heritage site, as important as Stonehenge and the Great Wall if China. From March 2025 there will be a new tour describing the mine site in the second world war. Find out the dangers and the surprising identities of those who risked their lives to keep the supply of raw materials for industry and munitions.
East Pool Mine is home to an impressive Cornish Beam engine used to pump water out of the tin mine. At the heart of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, learn more about the history of Cornish Mining.
