Come to Epping Forest District Museum to discover over 12,000 years of history! See a woolly mammoth tusk found near Nazeing, a 1,500 year old Roman pot, get to know Anglo-Saxon kings, be up close and personal with a Tudor building and Stuart furniture, marvel at Victorian ingenuity, and explore the highs and lows of the 20th century.
Epping Forest District Museum has a fascinating collection, spread over 4 permanent galleries, and a special exhibition gallery. Their school sessions feature lots of exciting activities and exploration to allow students to get up close and personal with real historical artefacts to deepen and broaden their learning.
The team recommend that Thursdays are the best for an onsite visit!
