Gibside is an 18th-century landscape garden with 243 hectares to explore. There are miles of paths through woodland and across open spaces. Wander past ponds and along the River Derwent as you view historic buildings including the Palladian Chapel, stable block, and hall ruin. There are three different play areas to explore and a woodland den-building area. Schools can choose to visit self-led and plan their own activities or choose to book National Trust led activities.
All visits must be booked in advance. Email gibsideCYP@nationaltrust.org.uk or call 01207 541204 to book.
