Gibside – National Trust

Gibside, Rowlands Gill, NE16 6BG. Tyne & Wear

Gibside is an 18th century landscape garden with 243 hectares to explore. There are miles of paths through woodland, open spaces, past ponds, streams and the River Derwent and historic buildings including the Palladian Chapel, stable block and hall ruin. There are three different play areas to explore and a woodland den building area. Schools can choose to visit self-led and plan their own activities or chose to book National Trust led activities. All visits must be booked in advance.

National Trust led activities: £2.50+VAT per child for a half day session, £4+VAT per child for a full day National Trust education group membership also required for entry to Gibside.
