YHA Holmbury St Mary Surrey Hills
Radnor Lane, Dorking, RH5 6NW. England
Set on the edge of 3,000 acres of mixed woodland, YHA Holmbury St Mary Surrey Hills is a rural slice of adventure, yet only a stone’s throw from central London. From some of the amazing viewpoints that surround the hostel, including Leith Hill, you can easily see Canary Wharf and other famous London landmarks.
An interactive guided walk to Holmbury Hill is a must for all groups staying at the hostel. Alternatively shelter building in the woods and fire lighting back at the hostel provides the opportunity for young people to engage with this working woodland.
For older school groups, or primary schools looking to lead their own adventures, the hostel makes a great base. The location offers a many opportunities to really explore a different setting and complete a range of study areas including biology fieldwork and filmmaking.
