Activities Available
All visitors enjoy a museum tour with an associated activity. Ross The Mouse encourages younger visitors to hunt for artefacts, whilst other visitors can take on the Great Code Challenge. There are opportunities to dress up as a miner, or take part in a role-play activity to gain a better understanding of a day in the life of a miner. Meet A Miner sessions are tailored and differentiated to our audience, eliciting and developing enquiry skills via a question-and-answer session with our incredible volunteer ex-miners. We also offer engaging, fun, structured and active curriculum-linked workshops and activities which are accessible and adaptable for audiences such as: SEND, ALD, home educated, early years, primary, secondary, further education, higher education and extra-curricular groups. All workshops are planned by our experienced and highly-skilled Learning and Engagement Team.
