Explore Batley and beyond at Bagshaw Museum. Join them for a trip around the world and experience ‘The Kingdom of Osiris’, our atmospheric Egyptian tomb, visit the ‘Spirit of South Asia’, make music in our African Gallery, or recreate a Victorian seaside day out. You can also go local and find out more about Fox’s Biscuits and the iconic Batley Variety Club. They offer whole or half day workshops and self-led visits.

Looking for a bursary to support your trip?
We know that funding a school trip isn’t always easy. If you are looking for help with costs, you can apply for the Great British School Trip bursary. This can help with the cost of travel or entry tickets to any Great British School Trip partner venue.
Simply fill in our bursary form and let us know how we might help.
The Egyptian Archaeologist
The Egyptian Archaeologist full day session allows students to learn about the work of archaeologists and use their investigative skills to examine and handle objects. Students will explore a replica tomb, take part in a mummification, and handle real ancient Egyptian objects!
