Knole – National Trust

Knole, Sevenoaks, TN15 0RP. Kent

Knole is unique: an enormous medieval, Tudor and Jacobean mansion with a treasure trove of rare and precious items collected over hundreds of years. Set within the only remaining medieval deer park in Kent, there are plenty of opportunities to learn inside and out, engaging students of all ages whilst providing a fun day out too.

They offer educational visits throughout the academic year, five days a week. You can choose from a full day (10am-2.30pm) or some workshops can be delivered on a half-day visit (10am-12pm or 12.30pm-2.30pm).

Knole has on offer a variety of topics and activities for all key stages and SEND groups alike. You can step back in time with costumes, object handling, and a visit to the showrooms on a Tudor session. Handle replica artifacts and build dens to learn about the Stone Age. Become ATS girls who lived in the parkland and discover more about the Second World War. Take a look at the parkland on a geography visit or try your hand at sketching and clay work on an art session. All visits are facilitated by an award-winning and experienced team.
