The Lightbox is an award-winning charitable arts and heritage organisation with a social purpose to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of its community. They offer a wide range of visits that explore children’s creativity which can be linked to the National Curriculum through our Local History displays, The Ingram Collection, Joan Hurst Collection and a range of international exhibitions. They have a range of activity sessions, offering students the opportunity to explore the galleries and take part in hands on creative workshops.

We know that funding a school trip isn’t always easy. If you are looking for help with costs, you can apply for the Great British School Trip bursary. This can help with the cost of travel or entry tickets to any Great British School Trip partner venue.

Workshop Prices
Groups that would like to have guided activity sessions, including a creative workshop in the Education Studio, will be charged £150 to £250 +VAT for up to 30 children, depending on the topic, length of session and timing, with up to a maximum of 60 children per time visit. Gallery-based Critical Thinkers sessions are charged at £100-£190 for up to 30 children max, depending on any additional add-ons. Self-guided visits are charged at £30 +VAT for up to 30 children.
