Nantclwyd y Dre is one of the oldest timber framed houses in Wales, dating back to 1435. Each room is dressed to reflect a different period of time from throughout its nearly 600 years of history. There are extensive historic gardens with views looking across to neighbouring Ruthin Castle. Groups can expect activities which are tailored to the period of history they are interested in, ranging from medieval, to Tudor, to Victorian. Weather-dependant garden activities are also available for groups.
