
Newcastle Castle is a medieval fortress in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne, and the Castle that gave the city its name. It has one of the best preserved Castle Keeps in the country.
They offer a range of guided tours and workshops for school groups of all ages to learn about life in the North East throughout its rich history. A standard full-day visit lasts between 10 am and 2 pm and consists of a guided tour of the Castle and one of their workshops, which are all tailored to suit different age groups, learning outcomes, and curriculum links.
Cost: £7 per pupil for a full-day visit, £3.50 per pupil for a half-day visit, £2.50 per pupil for a Self-Led visit.
