Norton Priory Museum & Gardens, is the most excavated monastic site in Europe. Schools can explore the museum galleries with thousands of objects discovered on site, which tell the 900-year history from priory to mansion house and the stories of the people who lived here. They can see the 12th century under croft with beautiful vaulted ceiling and the priory ruins showing the layout of the medieval buildings. School sessions are inspired by thousands of years of history from Early Man to Anglo Saxons to medieval life and Victorians to WW2 as well as being inspired by nature including mini beast hunts, plants and bees and pond dipping.
