Trips are arranged under four exciting, curriculum-linked themes
Imagination and Curiosity – English and the Arts - Exploring the power of imagination and how it can be harnessed to change the world
People and the Planet – Science and Geography - Empowering young people to play an active role in creating a sustainable future
Breakthroughs and Discoveries – STEM and History - ’Investigating the moments of genius that have enabled humanity to progress
Journeys and Adventures – PSHE & Skills Development - Celebrating the broadening of horizons and stepping outside of your comfort zone
Plantasia Tropical Zoo is an indoor rainforest zoo with over 40 species of animal, and hundreds of tropical plants. Schools can have structured curriculum linked workshops, plus have a chance to explore the jungle setting.
Schools can choose from general admission only, or select one of 5 curriculum linked workshops. These include Rainforest Rangers, Marvellous Minibeasts, Eco Warriors, Predators & Prey – the food chain, or Roots, Shoots, Flowers and Leaves. Many of these workshops are interactive, and include animal handling sessions for those brave enough! If a school cannot visit, they also offer virtual sessions, or their ‘Plantasia on the Road’ programme, sponsored by Admiral, where they bring their workshop and animals directly to the classroom.
Don’t forget, if you are looking for help with funding the cost of your trip, you can apply for a bursary!
