Plas Gwynant is at the heart of outdoor education and adventure in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. Based at the foot of the highest peak in Wales, they combine the power and magic of the natural environment with the challenge of adventurous activities to inspire young people; they’ll help them to recognise what they are capable of achieving. They welcome students aged 9 and upwards.

Career Experiences at Plas Gwynant Outdoor Education Centre
Young people face a number of challenges that can affect many areas of their life, such as their confidence, attendance and attainment at school, and their prospects of finding work. There are 3 ways that we can help young people prepare for life beyond school. They are:
- Every visit to a centre can be tailored to develop and practice the soft skills needed to thrive in the workplace, such as creativity, adaptability, leadership, problem solving skills, resilience, and communication techniques. Reviewing and reflection at the end of each session helps translate the learning to lessons for life.
- Teams & Leaders: designed to provide opportunities to explore, test and develop leadership techniques, with a focus on roles and responsibilities within a team.
- Accelerate: Accelerate supports young people into employment or training by empowering them to develop life, social and employability skills; increase confidence, take part in a range of activities, and feel a sense of success in an unfamiliar environment.
