This inspiring location, situated between Bakewell and Buxton, is a former mill owner’s home and sits within 60 acres of mature woodland, great for activities and exploring. It’s fitting that just outside our grounds is Bellamy’s Bank, the spot that first introduced David Bellamy to the world of nature. No visit to Ravenstor is complete without a moment of peace and tranquillity on the Bank.

At YHA Ravenstor, they offer a range of educational and adventurous packages, including their exclusive Alex Rider spy-themed residential packages. The hostel offers a number of activities on site, and the grounds are perfect for archery, orienteering, shelter building, fire lighting and team challenges. More adventurous groups can enjoy great climbing and caving locally, not to mention an incredible abseil of a nearby viaduct, part of the Monsal Trail.

Don’t forget, if you are looking for help with funding the cost of your trip, you can apply for a bursary!
