The Story Museum is a most unusual museum in the heart of Oxford. With an emphasis on oracy, the Museum’s schools programme is designed to help students develop language, engage in social play, discover our shared oral and literary heritage, and create stories of their own. Established to ensure that everyone can enjoy and benefit from engaging with great stories, The Story Museum offers students the chance to immerse themselves in language and ideas, and create their own stories in a place full of wit and wonder. The Learning Team offers school visits for every Key Stage from Nursery to Year 13 including a visit to the Galleries and a tailored story session. A visit can be combined with the City of Stories film experience or a City Story Walk to explore how Oxford has inspired classic children’s stories.
Don’t forget, if you are looking for help with funding the cost of your trip, you can apply for a bursary!
