Subjects
Stretton Watermill brings history and science together. A school visit to the mill will let pupils learn and discover the importance of food and mills in both the past and present and the changing role they played throughout history. Pupils will also develop their understanding of science, through hands on learning that demonstrates the complex forces, frictions and mechanisms at work in a fully operational watermill. Workshops and watermill tours are designed to created to ensure every school trip is not only a enjoyable day, but also reinforces classroom learning with close curriculum links.
