Step aboard a recreation of Sir Francis Drake’s legendary ship, The Golden Hinde, where costumed educators bring Tudor history to life. Through hands-on immersive activities, groups will discover the story of Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the world and experience life on board a 16th century galleon. All activities are designed to complement the National Curriculum and pupils will be provided with pre-and post-visit resources designed to help get the most out of the visit.

The Golden Hinde is offering an exclusive discount for its KS2 Overnight Living History experience – £30 per person instead of £45. During the Overnight Living History, three colourful characters from the ship’s history will be your guides – the grisly Barber Surgeon, the excitable Gunner and the ship’s Master. You will dine with the crew and bunker down in authentic quarters on the ship’s gundeck overnight.
