Ushaw is an ex-Catholic seminary which now operates as a museum and cultural venue. Located four miles from Durham city centre, with a year-round calendar of cultural events. Ushaw is custodian to a vast collection of historical treasures and an extensive historical library, which they aim to share with the public as much as they can, particularly through their education programmme. Ushaw is lucky enough to have an art gallery with exhibitions that change over regularly, giving the opportunity for an array of education workshops. They also have a wide estate and formal gardens, which feeds into and compliments their education programme.
