Extra Details

This unique site is the ideal place to immerse your class in science and heritage. Pupils will develop their understanding of Newton’s scientific theories and learn about his fascinating life and childhood.

All trips include a guided visit to the hands-on science centre, the Manor House and a workshop on forces and motion or light. Designed to help students explore the exhibits, test Newton’s theories and learn about Isaac’s life.  Pupils will work scientifically in engaging, practical workshops; making observations, discussing ideas and linking what they observe with scientific principles.  ducational groups can choose between the forces and motion, or light workshop before the visit.

During the forces and motion workshop, pupils can fire rockets. The light workshop will encourage pupils to explore the light spectrum and other properties. The workshops can be tailored to different age groups, so please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.

Don’t forget, if you are looking for help with funding the cost of your trip, you can apply for a bursary!
