Hyundai inspires students at Therfield School
23 February 2023
Hyundai continues to inspire the next generation with their recent visit to Therfield School. In Hyundai's commitment to support school engagement and learning, they collaborated on a project with year 8 students at Therfield school. The project aimed to inspire the students by creating "Dragon's Den" pitches on sustainable transport solutions for the future.
The challenge prompted the students to develop their team work skills, problem solving skills and imagination.
Last week, three student teams were invited to Hyundai UK, and got the chance to present their ideas to Senior leaders at Hyundai. The winning team's idea focused on a magnetic transport solution, which used magnetic connection between the road network and vehicle for an emission free mobility solution. The interior was inspired by the sustainable and innovative SEVEN concept, which completely elevates the vehicle and driving experience. Students were also given the opportunity to ask the Senior leaders questions, and encouraged them to be curious.
Hyundai's Great British School Trip programme is another one of the automotive company's initiatives to support school engagement and learning. It offers discounts and bursaries to support school trips within the UK, with the aim to promote Learning Outside the Classroom for students who may not have had this opportunity before. We have partnered with venues that supports learning within four different curriculum themes (Imagination & Curiosity, People & the Planet, Breakthrough's & Discoveries, Journey's & Adventures).
Are you looking for support or inspiration for your next school trip? Find a list of our partner venues here, and apply for a bursary here.
