Killhope is an award winning 19th century mining museum in the heart of the North Pennines, where visitors can experience the lifestyle and worl of the lead mining families. Known for it’s famous working waterwheel, the venue offers an extensive amount of activities to do, from a guided tour of the undeground mine, to scenic walks and amazing wildlife (including the rare red squirrel), Killhope offers a fantastic day out.
