Underfall Yard

Cumberland Road, Bristol, BS1 6XG. England

Since the creation of the Floating Harbour in 1809, Underfall Yard has been crucial to its operation and maintenance. Before this time, much of the site was under water: the original course of the River Avon ran through the Yard. Underfall Yard use their inspiring history, architecture and engineering to offer a range of creative learning opportunities for all Key Stages. A highlight of visits to the yard is experiencing our Victorian workshop in action.

Costs: £3.50 per students for up to 2 hours. £5.00 per student for up to 4 hours.

Don’t forget, if you are looking for help with funding the cost of your trip, you can apply for a bursary!
